Description

The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Garden is a green roof occupying the former helipad of Ramathibodi Hospital. The circular shape of the garden comes from this helipad, and the rounded enclosure encourages feelings of safety, security, and healing. The project focuses on sustainability and incorporates energy-saving design elements, zero waste, and zero stormwater discharge.

The Princess Garden is divided into four zones: exhibition, healing garden, amphitheatre, and food and farming. The small farm encourages patient healing through the activity of gardening. Purple plantings throughout the project reflect the Saturday birthday color of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
